St. Michael’s Choir School (SMCS), one of Canada’s most esteemed choral institutions, is excited to announce its upcoming Wild Rose Alberta Tour this April.
A highlight of the tour will be a special joint performance, VOICES IN HOPE, with St John Choir Schola in Calgary on April 25th at 7:00 pm at Knox United Church. This collaboration between two distinguished Catholic choral programs offers a unique opportunity to celebrate their shared musical heritage and commitment to excellence.
Founded in 1937, St. Michael’s Choir School is internationally recognized for its dedication to musical excellence and its integral role in the liturgical life of St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica in Toronto. Combining rigorous academics with an unparalleled choral education, the school has produced generations of musicians, composers, and conductors who have shaped Canada’s musical landscape. The Wild Rose Tour continues the school’s long-standing tradition of sharing its music with communities across the country and beyond.

St John Choir Schola is an academic and choral program in Calgary, Alberta, founded on the traditions of Catholicism, Classical Education, and Choral Music. The program immerses homeschooling children in a learning environment that upholds Truth, Goodness, and Beauty, respecting the role of parents as their children’s primary educators and the family as society’s most important institution. All students participate in the choral program without auditions, fostering a love for music and community among children from grades 1 through 12.
